Always being drawn to where it was loud
I happened to be shoved right in the middle of the crowd
That's when He came to the hill and sat down
And from that moment you couldn't hear a sound
"Blessed are the meek, they're gonna get the earth,
For righteousness blessed are those who hunger and thirst"
He didn't ask for a financial blessing
His only fee was that you paid attention
Then He called me "the salt of the earth" and said
"If I lose my saltiness what else would I be worth"
Said a lot of things in that day
Even correctly showed us how to pray
"Foxes have holes and birds have nest
But the Son of man has no where to rest"
It'll take a lot to try to follow Him to the end
I guess I'll just wait, till I see Him again, or so I thought.

I don't know if I can get with it?
This man says take her my son, your sins have been forgiven
He healed the paralytic, and then they called it blasphemy
But I do I really agree?
Cause' He healed him on the Sabbath
They tried to stone Him down as if He was a bandit
I couldn't stand it
Then the next time I saw Him, He was eating dinner
But not with Pharisees or religious leaders but with sinners
He claimed to be the savior of our souls
Even quoted what the prophet Malachi said in the scrolls
"I will send my messenger ahead of you
To prepare the way for you"
But can this really be true?I don't know
I kind of want to put Him to the test
Cause' He said come who are weary and He'll give you rest
How can I put up a fight?
When He said His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

He fed 4,000 and gave sight with mud
Now He’s in the garden praying and perspiring blood
Asked to be accompanied by His closest friends
To stop Him from trying to sin
Came down from the hill praying and weeping
To find His friends on a tree sleeping
Human emotion is what He started to feel
Yet He said not mine, but father your will
Then approached by soldiers trying to arrest
One of the twelve came and gave Him the kiss of death
When Judas saw that the Son was condemned to die
You could imagine what was running through that mans mind
Or Peter when he denied
Forced to see Yahweh put to die
Not a death suitable for a king
He hung on a tree, where people went for trying to steal things
Always told, “gotta find a God of your own”
So I chose the one that’s living on the throne
Jesus walked the earth with no sin in Him
Many try to match it but there is no synonym
I need forgiveness for the lack of faith
Cause’ I doubted your face
And I disgraced your name
Always concerned during the midst of the storm
Forgetting on my boat
Christ you are aboard
